First, I don't buy that excuse at all! Because there is a lot of money at stake, you become corrupt and rip off your best friends and band mates to get at it? Bull, that's a terrible excuse for stealing credit from your mates!
I never said it was right. In fact, I think it's a totally rotten thing to do. But the almighty dollar (or in their case, the almighty pound) rules.
Really, name five other bands where the leaders of the group stole and didn't credit their bandmates
Well, I can't. And I hope there aren't any. I know Gary Rossington keeps claiming that he should have been credited on some Collins-Van Zant songs but nobody is paying attention to him, and deservedly so I'd say.
He was lucky he was given that many songs, he had nothing to bitch about! Not that I recall him making that much of a big deal about it. But he played with two guys who made him a superstar, had he never met Paul, and had he never played with him and John, I don't think anybody ever would have heard of George Harrison.
You don't seem to think very highly of George as a musician. I think you underrate his contributions. I believe that he wrote some truly great songs. I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on this one.
