I didn't answer this the other day because for the most part I can't remember most of that stuff. I do recall my first single disc, it was the 1960, non rock hit song called "The Old Lamplighter" by the Browns, who were considered a Country act, although the song just sounded old fashion and not Country to me. But my dad got me a copy of it and I still remember that very day, since it was my first record. I also recall the first single I paid for, it was "Judy in Disguise (With Glasses)", by John Fred and his Playboy Band. I had a paper route when that came out and it was the first thing I recall ever buying, other than junk food. First LP was in '65, either the first, second, or third Stones album, can't recall which one, and although no money exchanged hands, I paid a very high and unfair price to my older sister for it. TSMR was the first Stones LP I paid for with cash.... I've never owned an 8 track tape or player, my dad had a 8 track player in the house, but I never liked the way they played. The rest I can't recall at all, other than I'll bet the first CD I paid for was the Stones. I was working as both a DJ and music director in Telluride when the first CDs came out and man where they a blessing, not only because you no longer had to clue in records, but because of the space they saved in our small studio.
