My first 45 was 'Gimme Gimme Good Lovin', by Crazy Elephant. That stick of bubblegum still tastes good. Found it on a 'One Hit Wonders' CD several years ago.
First LP was the Outlaws debut album with 'Green Grass And High Tides', on it. Guitars! I think ZZ Top 'Tres Hombres' was a close second.
8-track- Honestly can't remember the very first but I had 'Some Girls' on 8-track before LP. It was either the first or one of the first. Tracked differently than the LP. Fogahat 'Fool For The City', was one of my first as well. Along with The Outlaws - Waylon, Willie, Tompal Glasier, and Jessi Colter Young. I wore those three 8-tracks out but cannot remember which of the three I bought first.
Not sure which was my first cassette, but I remember buying my first chrome CR02 cassette on the USS America while underway in the ship's store. It was 'Dirty Work'. After hearing 'Dirty Work' for the first time I was hoping it was the type of cassette which made the Stones sound "off" and an LP version of the offering would fix everything. It wasn't the cassette.
