MT had been on Stern's show in the past, so he knew what to expect. If you don't dig that kind of interviewer, then why go on the show in the first place, or in this case, go on his show a second time? So my guess is MT didn't really give a shit. But then again, I didn't see or hear that show, so I really can't say for sure as to how he seemed to take those questions.... Also, from the comments here, is Stern back on TV? I didn't know you could watch his show again. Is Stern a buffoon? Depends on how you use the word, it can mean more than one thing, but he is a clown, for sure, and I always dug him, although it has been over 10 years since I last heard his show, so I really have no clue how he is today.
As far as MT on that TV Late show, I would say he wasn't at his best there. When I saw him in '00, he played that solo for so much longer and it sounded so much better. Of course, I was standing about 6 feet away from him at that show, and that alone made it that much better; but he just didn't play that solo with any real zest on the TV show. Still, he played a lot better on that show than what we got to see from Keith playing a couple of months ago.
