Would that not be the perfect way to announce a tour? How many tours have been announced in NYC? I can think of at least two. 75 & 89.
Picture this with me. Opening skit....Press Conference. Mick & Charlie seated at a table fielding questions from cast members in the audience posing as reporters asking questions about an up coming tour. Charlie answers none and just looks away each time........
Some of the reporters asking questions happen to be the rest of the band! Including Bill whose question is "Will Bill Wyman be Present?" It escalates to the point where Charlie finally answers a question by looking into the Camera and announcing "Live from NY, its Saturday night!...."
