I think it was last month, maybe two months ago, when a Gasser started a post about Oreo cookies. Remember? So this morning I'm reading the news online and I came across this article about an ad for Oreo cookies that is causing a stir. Why? Well it's the photo in the ad (below), which the article didn't show (I had to do a Google image search for it!). This ad has got to be one of the smartest ads I've seen in years, and I know my ads well enough, since I used to make a living writing them.
So of course, the ad is causing problems and has been pulled. I guess some right wing groups have a problem with the ad - because it shows the mother's breast and nipple! How crazy are some people? The only "problem" perhaps with the ad is that the boy in the photo might be too young to be introduced to sugar; as most of us know it is very strong, addicting substance, and yes, it does get you high when you eat it. But let's face it, by the age of 3 or so, most kids are hooked on that white sugary powder anyway; it's gonna happen sooner or later, and I see nothing wrong with this ad, especially for the reason why conservatives don't like it.. I got a feeling most of us will never see this ad in our local newspaper, either, since too many uptight, moronic people, think a bare breast is sexual. The number one reason for the female breasts are not sexual at all, or just for the enjoyment of men. They are to feed babies! Of course, the main reason for the Oreo cookie is for enjoyment, and I know I was hooked on them by the time I was around 5 or so. So are most kids and many adults, and well, I guess this baby, too, even if the kid looks too young for solid, hard food like an Oreo cookie!
