Welcome back, Barb, The loss of a parent is one of the toughest things one can go through, and I extend to you the deepest understandings and sympathies. It is a time to remember all they did for you throughout life, and to reflect on your life as well.
When you toast your father, and remember his life, you and your brother should remember the good things, and try and understand why he might have done some things that you did not understand at the time he did them. Celebrate...do not be sad!
