Man, the RRHOF is a joke! For the most part anyway.
The webmaster at my Skynyrd board, who knew Tom Dowd personally, says it's about time he got in. If only for the number of people who did get in partly thanks to him. He once posted a list of all the artists who had worked with Dowd and it was so long that I got dizzy before I was halfway through.
I, unlike many Gassers, don't hate Rap
I do hate it. Big time. "Rap music" is an oxymoron. One of the essential components of music is a melody. I have a friend who enjoys rap and he tried for a while to get me to like it. He has since given up.
I wonder how many of the RRHOF voters actually like rap. I think they're just trying to be "relevant" to a greater number of people without realizing that by doing so, they are becoming irrelevant to their core base. The way I see it, getting acts such as Madonna and Abba into the hall was also done with the same goal in mind.
Speaking of which, I had to switch to another browser last June when Firefox stopped displaying properly on my computer and I haven't dared vote in the ongoing polls again. Does this mean I can do it now?
