jump is like a precursor to swing, no?

Well like I noted, some say it came from Jazz, which is where swing came from. But I think it must have come from both.

Cool, just read it, thanks. Funny, for the revival of Jump Blues, they claim it took place in the '90s and they don't even note the Blues Brothers playing it in the '70s. That was when it really got going again, and why I'm not always too crazy about Wikipedia, they get a lot of stuff wrong on there.
