Wow sounds crazy. Steak Hang Over. Never heard of anything like that. I eat steak once a week. I also feel great after eating a steak but I think that has more to do with the fact that it is loaded with Protien, Iron and other valuable nutrients. Not too mention it doesn't cause an insulin boots like carb foods so you dont' crash later. I have heard something about people getting sick from meat when off it for a while but I think it is more attributed to all the shit they put into the cows. I know the States is bad for additives and hormones and antibiotics and all that shit. So perhaps it is the shit in the meat they add that you are actually reacting to. That I wouldn't doubt. To put it simply it's not kosher. You didn't happen to have soem Red Wine with the meat by any chance did you? Red WIne is the King of hang overs.
On the topic of meat, feeling like crap and health. I am always trying to balance foods and prolong my exitance. I have educated myself on diet by taking a personal trainer course in the past and reading extensive articles on nutrition. Personally I don't think there is anything wrong with eating a 3-6 oz steak once a week as long as you keep the fibre up day before and after.
People are made to eat meet. Moderation, balance and variety is the way in every corner of life.
Another thing that is NOT good idea when eating a big steak is to combine carbs with it. The body prefers to digest carbs and protein seperate. This means forget the potato when eating steak,
Here are a few tips for good digestion and good health
Carb based foods alone or with veggies
Protein fooods alone with fat and veggies
Fruit should be eaten alone
My personal list of what I think are the mos timportant foods
Blue Berries, Rasberries and Strawberries (Daily)
Chicken (2 twice a week)
Steak (Once a week)
Fish (twice a week)
Apples (Daily)
Green Tea and Coffee (daily)
1 glass of Red Wine (3 times a week)
Eggs
Onions, Garlic
Broccoli
Asperagus
Red bell Peppers
Tomatoes cooked, suace, salsa etc.
Oatmeal, Brown Rice
