>I agree with you Jig that Brown should be simple enough but I have read that it was a double meaning about Brown H
BS actually has a triple meaning, but if you know the Stones well, then you know they like to write about drugs in their songs - and they have done so often enough. That was why I wrote a sub-chapter in my book about all of their drug songs, and I know some fans may not dig that a song they loved and thought was about a girl, was actually about a drug - but that don't change the fact that they were writing about the drugs in that way, and many of their fans understood from the get-go what the songs was about, and to some of us that made us love those songs even more, since they actually had a double meaning to them. If and when you dig that, then you realize some of their songs’ lyrics were that more cleaver .
So, you know what a moonlight mile is, right? If not, read my book to find out - or if you rather not know any more about drug slang and how much the Glimmers embraced and wrote about all of that, then stay far away from my book! And BTW, in regard to what Brian1 noted in his reply to you, for my book, I didn't write about drugs so the book would sell; I wrote about drugs because they played a big part in the lives of the Stones - and the book is about the Stones!
>If Dead Flowers is about H then so be it, I will go back to when I was 10 years old or so just listen to it as a Stones country song.
It is still a Stones country song regardless! Just because it is about H, so what? That don’t change the tune any, and I must ask, what else did you think the lyric I'll be in my basement room, with a needle and a spoon could have meant?
>I might be a priss here but I was depressed after reading the Exile book, I was looking for an insite on the Stones creative process and all I got was H stories
Well, you just might want to skip at least one chapter of my book, then. It will be clear from its title which chapter to skip.
