I believe you two just might be the exception to the rule. I can and do, knock back a dozen shots of Kentucky whiskey and then drink four to six beers without any problems. Makes for a beautiful buzz. To reverse and drink the beers first and then the shots is a sure way to lose weight later that night! Most people I know are like me in this area, but I do know a couple people who can drink liquor on top of beer with no problems.

I've always heard, "Beer before whiskey- Mighty risky!"....."Whiskey before beer - Never fear!"
