The past does live on, and living the life does continue, but only for short periods of time... like at a Stones concert. At this age it would be impossible to live the double life of a rock-n-roller & a somewhat responsible adult, but that doesn't mean we can't cross the line from time to time! Mick Jagger once said something like this, 'It's allright to let yourself go, as long as you can find your way back'.
The old days will always be better... as far as Stones concerts go, anyway. Long gone are the days when you could fire up a joint, and share it w/t 10 people that surrounded you at a concert. Hell, you can't even smoke at all in most venues w/out running the risk of being tossed out, and you'd be lucky if half the people were even interested.
You are definitely NOT a jerk, and we did our best to live up to the high standards that YOU and the people before you set. I'm counting on you to go out and enjoy the hell out of the show on Friday, and help restore your faith in the tour. I told Mick that I have a friend going to the St Louis gig so he should pick out a couple of gems to play , and to make sure Ronnie is in top form like he was at MSG! I look forward to reading all about it.
